Foi na garra, de arrebatar de emoção, no coração. Em um domingo no qual teve o “desfalque” de Abel Braga (recuperando-se de um procedimento de ablação), o Flamengo, mesmo com uma equipe repleta de reservas, sagrou-se campeão da Taça Rio em uma final heroica contra o Vasco neste domingo, no Maracanã. Após arrancar com Arrascaeta nos acréscimos o empate em 1 a 1 (Tiago Reis marcou para o cruz-maltino), o Rubro-Negro venceu por 3 a 1 nos pênaltis e chega com a moral elevada para a semifinal do Carioca.

Com o título, a equipe (que foi comandada por Leomir de Souza) enfrentará nas semifinais do Campeonato Carioca o Fluminense, no próximo sábado, às 19h. Já o Cruz-Maltino terá como adversário o Bangu, no próximo domingo, às 16h. Ambos os duelos ocorrerão no Maracanã.

Festival de erros
A afobação se sobressaiu em boa parte da etapa inicial do Clássico dos Milhões. Mais impetuoso, o Flamengo achou brechas, mas demorou a acertar o pé. Aos 40 segundos, Ronaldo finalizou e acertou a bandeirinha de córner. Em seguida, o volante encontrou Vitinho na área, mas o atacante errou o domínio e permitiu que a zaga se antecipasse. Aos poucos, o Vasco equilibrou as ações. No entanto, viu sua aposta em contra-ataques esbarrar em erros primários de passes. Em rara jogada individual, Marrony avançou até a área e caiu, mas o árbitro (corretamente) mandou seguir.

Chances no Fla, lesões no Vasco
Contando com uma equipe repleta de reservas, o Rubro-Negro foi se ajustando aos poucos e apavorou os cruz-maltinos com seguidos ataques. Após falta cobrada por De Arrascaeta, Thuler desviou e Fernando Miguel apenas observou a bola sair. Depois, o camisa 1 vascaíno ainda se desdobrou para salvar duas tentativas venenosas de Vitinho. Já a equipe de Alberto Valentim, que só voltou a assustar em chance de Rossi, lidou com apuros no setor defensivo: Leandro Castan e Bruno Silva saíram lesionados.

‘Deixa o garoto jogar!’
O Flamengo voltou do intervalo e perdeu uma chance promissora de sair na frente: Uribe serviu Lucas Silva, que vacilou. O panorama iria mudar. Lançando-se mais ao ataque, o Vasco viu César cair para espalmar defesa de Marrony. No lance seguinte, Tiago Reis entrou em cena: após cobrança de escanteio de Danilo Barcelos, a aposta de Alberto Valentim se antecipou para estufar a rede e marcar seu quarto gol em quatro jogos como titular dos profissionais.

‘Raça, amor e paixão’
A desvantagem fez o Rubro-Negro partir de vez para frente. Além de Vitinho e De Arrascaeta exigirem Fernando Miguel, a equipe comandada por Leomir de Souza rondou a área de um Vasco que teve chances de “matar” o jogo em conclusões de Marrony e Thiago Galhardo. De tanto insistir, o gol redentor veio nos acréscimos (e com a mão de Leomir Souza). Lançado no lugar de Thuler para fortalecer o ataque, Bill fez cruzamento preciso e Arrascaeta subiu entre os zagueiros para igualar o marcador. A disputa pelo título seguia em aberto na Taça Rio.

E deu Mengão!
Após uma disputa intensa nos pênaltis, a Nação saiu do Maracanã sorrindo. Com o pé mais calibrado, o Flamengo levou a melhor, ao marcar com Vitinho, Arrascaeta e Uribe (Rodinei permitiu defesa de Fernando Miguel). Já o Cruz-Maltino precisa aprimorar sua pontaria. Além de Rossi e Werley isolarem suas respectivas cobranças, Tiago Reis consagrou César, que defendeu sua cobrança. Danilo Barcelos fez para o Cruz-Maltino.

رد رئيس الاتحاد الكاميروني لكرة القدم، صامويل إيتو، على اتهامات ضده بأنه يضطهد حارس مرمى منتخب الأسود، أندريه أونانا، ومنعه من العودة في المستقبل.

ورحل أونانا بعد مشاكل مع المدرب، ريجوبرت سونج، عن معسكر منتخب الكاميرون قبل انتهاء مشوارهم في كأس العالم قطر 2022 خلال نوفمبر من العام الماضي.

وخرج نائب رئيس الاتحاد الكاميروني السابق، هنري نجالا، في تصريحات نارية قبل يومين وأكد أن إيتو يعامل أونانا بطريقة سيئة للغاية كما هو الحال مع العديد من اللاعبين.

وعلق مهاجم برشلونة وإنتر ميلان السابق على تلك التصريحات نقلتها صحيفة “Afrik-Foot”، وقال: “لقد منحت بعض الصلاحيات إلى مدرب الكاميرون للتعامل بحرية لفرض النظام في المنتخب”.

وتابع: “لا أتدخل في عمل المدرب بأي طريقة، لم أتدخل في مشكلة أونانا، وإذا كانت لدي مشكلة مع ابني (أونانا) لم يكن ليأتي إلى مكتبي في صباح يوم رحيله عن المنتخب، لكن لم يكن هناك أي مشكلة”.

وأضاف في النهاية: “أتمنى أن يفهم هؤلاء الأطفال الذين يهاجمونني أن ما يجمعنا هو حب منتخب الكاميرون، يجب أن أحمي الجميع طالما أصبحت رئيسًا للاتحاد الكاميروني لكرة القدم”.

Sylhet in doubt as T20 venue

The venue for the only T20 between Bangladesh and New Zealand, scheduled for November 6, is in doubt, due to ongoing work at the Sylhet stadium. Sylhet is one of the venues being developed for the World Twenty20 and the directors of the ground have stated that they plan to finish work by the first week of November. A new venue for the game is likely to be announced over the next couple of days.

New Zealand batsman Peter Fulton has said that the pitch for the second Test and final Test in Mirpur, starting on Monday, could favour the spinners more. He said both New Zealand and Bangladesh will push for a result, following the draw in Chittagong.”We are definitely keen to win the match,” Fulton said. “I am sure Bangladesh will also be keen. So regardless of the wicket, both teams will try to get a result. It looks very dry, not a lot of grass on it. It is similar to the Chittagong game, preparing it to be low and slow.”The wicket may turn more than it did in Chittagong. We are preparing for every scenario. It is not necessarily easy to get results. Five days is a long time in a Test match. If we improve on our first Test performance, we can get a result.”A draw loomed in Chittagong until Sohag Gazi’s hat-trick on the final afternoon sparked hope for Bangladesh. In contrast, the New Zealand spinners, Bruce Martin and Ish Sodhi, were a work-in-progress throughout the Test as both were playing their first Test in the subcontinent. Fulton believes the bowlers need to be more patient.”The Bangladesh spinners bowled well, as we expected them to. They kept it quite tight. They probably came into it a bit more on the last day when we were pushing for a declaration. Our spinners got better as the game went on. They can learn from the first Test. As a bowling unit, if we can be patient for a little bit longer, we will pick up wickets,” Fulton said.Fulton scored two fifties in the game, but his first-innings dismissal was a forgettable one. He dragged a long-hop straight to cover and walked away a distraught figure. There was a hundred for the taking, a first since the New Zealand summer when he struck his comeback ton against England.”It is not easy to bat here with the heat. You have to work hard for runs. We have to get off to a good start which will set the team up for a result. I found it hard in the first innings with the heat. Like all the guys, we adjusted little bit and found things a little bit easier,” he said.Fulton is also hoping that his opening partner Hamish Rutherford will come good in the Mirpur Test. The left-hander made starts in both innings, but fell for scores of 34 and 32. “He is quite an aggressive player, so sometimes he might not push on to get the big scores as he would like. He is a very good player, and very aggressive at the start which takes the pressure off me,” Fulton said.
