O Corinthians voltou aos trabalhos na tarde desta segunda-feira após empatar em 1 a 1 contra o Atlético-MG no último sábado na Arena. O treino comandado pelo técnico Osmar Loss teve duas novidades importantes: os retornos do zagueiro Henrique e do meia Jadson, que não encararam o Galo. O defensor tinha dores nas costas e o meia, incômodo na coxa direita.

Eles participaram normalmente de atividade técnica no CT Joaquim Grava e devem reforçar o Timão no duelo da próxima quarta-feira contra o Ceará em Fortaleza – contra o Galo, ogaram Marllon e Araos no lugar da dupla. O grupo embarca ainda nesta segunda-feira para a capital cearense.

Em contrapartida, Cássio segue como preocupação. Com dores no quadril, o goleiro deixou a atividade no início e segue como dúvida para a partida. Ele não atuou no sábado, dando lugar a Walter.

Também não treinaram nesta segunda o volante Ralf e o lateral-esquerdo Danilo Avelar, mas a assessoria de imprensa do clube informou que no caso deles foi por precaução. A tendência é que joguem. Vale lembrar que o Corinthians terá o retorno do volante Douglas, que cumpriu suspensão.

As baixas mais graves são de Fagner, com lesão na coxa direita, e Pedro Henrique, com dores no joelho direito. Eles não têm previsão de retorno.

O Corinthians ocupa a 8ª colocação do Campeonato Brasileiro com 30 pontos. O Ceará é o 19º com 20 pontos.

ويحل ليفربول ضيفًا على ملعب “سانتياجو برنابيو” يوم، الأربعاء المقبل، في تمام الساعة العاشرة مساءً بتوقيت “القاهرة”، وكانت نتيجة الذهاب على ملعب “أنفيلد” هي فوز ريال مدريد بنتيجة 5-2.

وتحدث ميليتاو عن قلقه بشأن مواجهة ثنائي هجوم ليفربول في تصريحات نقلتها صحيفة “ديلي إكسبريس” البريطانية، وقال: “كانت مباراة الذهاب من أكثر الليالي التاريخية في مسيرتي الرياضية، الفوز 5-2 هناك في أنفيلد، والتسجيل لحظة فريدة لأي لاعب”.

وتابع: “لكن ليفربول لديه فريق رائع، ولا نريد أن تحدث أي مفاجآت على أرضنا، محمد صلاح يقدم أداءً جيدًا منذ فترة، لاعب خطير وسيكون لديه دوافع كثيرة أمام ريال مدريد، كذلك هناك إفاقة من روبرتو فيرمينو ويسجل الأهداف لذلك أعتقد أن المباراة لن تحسم حتى صافرة النهاية”.

Além da decisão bastante questionável do árbitro Wagner Reway em marcar falta de Edu Dracena em Fábio (achei a jogada legal), houve um erro no processo: em vez de deixar a jogada seguir até o fim, para depois analisar no VAR se existiu alguma infração, o juiz apitou assim que houve a dividida, impossibilitando o uso do vídeo. Acabou, com isso, prejudicando o Palmeiras.

O Verdão chegou até os 52 minutos do segundo tempo precisando desta jogada para empatar o jogo também porque pecou em criar chances “vivas”, como disse Luiz Felipe Scolari após o jogo. A entrada de Lucas Lima no lugar de Thiago Santos, que não foi bem, deveria resolver este problema, e foi o que aconteceu parcialmente.

O meia entrou bem, participando bastante do jogo, mas durante o meio do segundo tempo, a bola não passou por ele – um erro também constatado por Felipão. A partir do momento que o camisa 20 voltou a ser acionado, e também a expulsão de Edilson (outra decisão contestável de Reway), os últimos 15 minutos foram jogados praticamente todos no entorno da área do Cruzeiro.

Só que a equipe de Mano Menezes soube se portar muito bem. Conseguiu o gol cedo, num raro momento em que o Palmeiras de Felipão estava desarrumado defensivamente, ao encaixar um contra-ataque bem feito e concluído por Barcos. Era o plano dos sonhos para os mineiros.

O lado alviverde do confronto não se abalou com o gol cedo, mas foi entrando numa pilha exagerada. Dudu foi o principal exemplo. O camisa 7 não se omitiu, tentou ajudar o tempo todo, mas desde o começo tentou cavar faltas demais, como no lance do gol cruzeirense, em que ele pediu uma infração no início da jogada e Reway não marcou. Com o decorrer dos minutos, o Palmeiras passou a se afobar na pressa para empatar e acabou se prejudicando.

Este temperamento explosivo do time é outro ponto que está sendo avaliado por Luiz Felipe Scolari, que já avisou: não se repetirá. Ainda assim, nos minutos finais teve bola na trave, cruzamento que passou pelo meio da área, defesas de Fábio (uma importantíssima no toque de Egídio, contra) e o gol mal anulado. Do outro lado, Weverton não teve nenhum trabalho.

Não foi o melhor jogo com Luiz Felipe Scolari, mas as chances apareceram, ainda que no fim. Como o gol fora de casa não é mais critério de desempate, a situação não é tão ruim. O Palmeiras chega bem vivo para decidir uma vaga na final da Copa do Brasil, no dia 26.

Waqar Younis, the former captain and coach of Pakistan, has been interviewed for the position of Australian bowling coach, as Cricket Australia intensifies its search for the man to replace Craig McDermott.Based in Sydney after he concluded a two-year stint as coach of Pakistan in 2011, Waqar is understood to have spoken to CA’s team performance manager Pat Howard about taking on a role that was unexpectedly vacated by McDermott at the conclusion of the Australian tour of the West Indies.Australia’s search for a new bowling coach is taking place at a time when many of the best candidates are already tied to other national teams or unwilling to commit to the travel pressures of the job. David Saker, Allan Donald, Joe Dawes and Damien Wright are all employed at international level, while the likes of Andy Bichel and Damien Fleming have said they are unwilling to devote as much time to the job as required by CA.Another possible candidate, Jason Gillespie, is in his first season as the coach of Yorkshire, while Ali de Winter, who ran McDermott close for the position in 2011, is thought to be enjoying his expanded role in Tasmania as assistant coach of the Tigers and head coach of the Hobart Hurricanes Twenty20 team.As a part-time member of the selection panel, Bichel saw the improvement McDermott brought to the team, and has said his preference would be for a mentor with proven international pedigree. ”With so many young guys coming through the system, I think you need someone who has played international cricket and who can teach them the stuff in the middle more than the technical stuff, how to get people out,” Bichel told the last month. ”That was one of the great bonuses with Craig.”Waqar has been refreshed by 10 months off cricket’s global caravan. He cited personal and health reasons – both for himself and his wife – when he exited the Pakistan coaching job, but has actively sought a return to coaching with Australia.Were he to be employed as bowling coach, Waqar would bring valuable knowledge to the Australian dressing room, particularly pertaining to reverse swing, an art the team have struggled to make best use of down the years. Under McDermott, Australia’s fast bowlers demonstrated an excellent command of the basics, bowling full, straight and moving the ball conventionally, while also showing tremendous discipline in unhelpful conditions in Sri Lanka and the West Indies.They will now be looking to build on those gains, and Waqar’s mastery of reverse swing, as demonstrated across a celebrated Test match career in which he claimed 373 wickets, would be a useful addition to the team’s database of knowledge. His coaching history has included numerous short-term consultancy roles, including with the ECB academy on a tour to India, while he has worked with New South Wales since first moving with his family to Sydney in 2005.Back then, Waqar had pointed out how much Australia needed a bowling coach, having watched Ricky Ponting’s team struggle to match England’s results in the 2005 Ashes series. He may now be in line to mentor a highly promising battery of young pacemen over a critical two-year stretch that cultimnates in back-to-back Ashes series in England and Australia in 2012-13.
