What’s the talk?

According to Football League World, the Black Cats are keen on a deal for the attacker and want to bring him to the Stadium of Light this month.

The report claims that he has handed in a transfer request to Paul Warne and is out of contract at the end of the campaign, with Sunderland now looking to pounce on his situation.

Masterclass

Lee Johnson could seal a masterclass by landing a deal for Ladapo this month as the move could strengthen his own team whilst weakening a promotion rival at the same time.

Goal difference is the only thing currently separating the two teams at the top of the League One table, with Sunderland and Rotherham both on 50 points as it stands. This shows how tight the competition is between the sides and suggests that the Yorkshire-based outfit are the club’s main competitor for the title and automatic promotion to the Championship.

Therefore, taking one of their top performers could weaken them and improve Sunderland’s chances of achieving success this season. Ladapo has ten goals and assists in just 14 League One starts for Rotherham, with striker Michael Smith the only player with more goals for the club than him this term.

This shows that the predator is one of their most important forwards and that losing him would take a major goal threat from Warne’s team, whilst adding one to Johnson’s. Ladapo has proven that he can score goals and provide assists at this level and he could bring those qualities to the Black Cats in the second half of the campaign.

Rotherham boss Warne previously lauded the attacker, saying: “Freddie has played a lot of minutes off the bench and I appreciate that. Nobody wants to be told they’re effective off the bench.

“He’s a goalscorer and guarantees goals. He’s not afraid to miss.”

Nathan Broadhead, with five, is the club’s second top scorer behind Ross Stewart (17) and this means that Ladapo’s eight league goals this season would make him their second-best option in front of goal.

Therefore, he could be a superb addition to the squad and a masterclass of a signing from Johnson as it could give them a major advantage in the race for promotion.

ووفقا لصحيفة “la pagina millonaria” الأرجنتينية فإن إدارة ريفر بليت ترى أن خبرات رامون دياز يمكنها حل مشاكل الفريق في الفترة المقبلة.

Tottenham Hotspur could land the next Kevin De Bruyne this month, according to recent reports.

Belgian outlet Voetbal Nieuws claim the north London outfit are one of several teams interested in Club Brugge sensation Charles De Ketelaere, with manager Antonio Conte said to be keen on the 20-year-old attacking midfielder.

However, Premier League rivals Leicester City have now entered the equation, though it is thought that it would cost around €40m (£34m) to secure him this month.

De Ketelaere has enjoyed a breakthrough year at the Jupiler Pro League champions and that has been epitomised by his performance on the international stage too.

It was De Bruyne who supplied the young gem with his first goal for Roberto Martinez’s Red Devils back in October, scoring past Euro 2020 holders Italy.

The two are very similar players in terms of style and potential, and that’s something De Krant van West-Vlaanderen journalist Frans Buyse told BBC Sport earlier this season.

“De Ketelaere’s style is reminiscent of De Bruyne. He is intelligent and possesses great vision and a superb passing range. His dribbling is similar to De Bruyne’s too. Eventually, he should take his place for Belgium,” he said.

Meanwhile, legendary Club Brugge midfielder Gert Verheyen told Het Nieuwsblad (via Goal): “His versatility is a huge asset. He is complete, with a mix of physical and technical qualities.”

Valued at £24.3m by Transfermarkt, the Brugge beast has provided 12 goals and eight assists across the Belgian top-flight and the Champions League, too, where he put in a ‘Man of the Match’ display against Mauricio Pochettino’s Paris Saint-Germain.

‘In the second half, his vision created opportunities for Jack Hendry and Noah Lang that could have easily seen Brugge take all three points. Many would be overawed coming up against three of the best forwards in the world but he and Lang revelled in the shop window such a high profile game provided them with,’ wrote Eurosport.

With Spurs still lacking that creative no.10, one who can not only provide the likes of Harry Kane and Heung-min Son with killer balls but also be a lethal threat inside the penalty box. They have long lacked that presence since Christian Eriksen’s departure.

Sporting director Fabio Paratici would be wise to win the race to sign the coveted Belgian wonderkid this month.  On the above evidence, the Lilywhites could well discover their very own De Bruyne in De Ketelaere.

The 22-year-old is arguably one of the Netherlands’ brightest young talents at the moment and he continues to catch the eye in Belgium.

The Verdict: Fantastic potential signing

Lang is an exciting talent whose aforementioned end product speaks for itself, so he could be a significant summer signing for Leeds, particularly with goals in short supply, partly due to 2020/21 top scorer Patrick Bamford suffering an injury-hit campaign this time around.

He has been hailed as a ‘phenomenon’ by journalist Peter Vandenbempt, further highlighting his ability, and he could fill the void left by Raphinha should the in-demand Brazilian leave Elland Road.
