وصلت بعثة الفريق الأول لكرة القدم بالنادي الأهلي، برئاسة محمد الدماطي عضو مجلس الإدارة، إلى دار السلام بتنزانيا، بعد رحلة طيران استغرقت ٥ ساعات ونصف الساعة.

وغادر الأهلي القاهرة في الخامسة والنصف بعد عصر اليوم الجمعة على متن طائرة خاصة.

ومن المقرر أن يلتقي الأهلي أمام سيمبا التنزاني الثلاثاء المقبل، في الجولة الثانية لدور المجموعات بدوري أبطال إفريقيا.

Marcus Edwards could be set to leave Tottenham for good this summer as the European transfer window remains open. 

The news of Edwards’ departure has come from TuttoUdinese (relayed by Alasdair Gold of Football.London) and whilst the fans may have had high hopes for the 20-year-old attacking midfielder who was once compared to Lionel Messi by his manager, the responses from the fans have been very mixed, as you will see below.

Some of them believe that the player is one who should have made more of himself and his talent, whilst others have been cynical of the midfield man for the way his career in North London has failed to take off, with the Lilywhites now growing closer to offloading the player.

The Lilywhites, as you can see, have mixed feelings over Marcus Edwards and it soon may be up to the player to show what he’s got in Serie A.

وقال مصدر للصحيفة البريطانية: “صلاح هو الأفضل على أرض الملعب، لكنه الآن يريد أن يثبت أنه يتمتع بالذكاء نفسه بعيدًا عن كرة القدم”.

وأضاف: “بعمر الـ 28، هذه بعض التحركات الذكية التي يجب أن تجعله يتأقلم بشكل جيد لسنوات قادمة، تمامًا مثل أسطورة أنفيلد روبي فاولر”.

وأتم: “كنت تتوقع أن يكون هناك الكثير من مشجعي الريدز في الخارج راغبين في شراء منزل بمبنى يملكه مو صلاح”.

According to The Mirror, Manchester United will make a bid for Leicester City attacker James Maddison during the January transfer window.

What’s the word, then?

United signed Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Daniel James and Harry Maguire during the summer, although the club did not bring a new attacking midfielder to Old Trafford despite a host of speculation.

Jesse Lingard has filled the number 10 spot in a 4-2-3-1 formation in the early stages of the campaign – but it would be fair to say that he has failed to impress.

Lingard has not actually scored in the Premier League since last December, whilst he has not registered a single assist in 2019. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer refused to criticise the England international following Saturday’s 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace.

However, there were audible cheers when the academy product was replaced in the second half, with 17-year-old Mason Greenwood introduced.

According to The Mirror, the Red Devils are eyeing a big-money swoop for Maddison, who is said to be valued by the Foxes in the region of £80m.

And whilst United would be keen to secure his signature in January, the club would be prepared to wait until next summer to secure the 22-year-old’s services.

United should sign Maddison to replace Lingard

Goals, assists and genuine quality in the final third of the field. Maddison managed seven goals and seven assists in the Premier League last season and he already has two assists in three league matches during the 2019-20 campaign.

The Leicester playmaker has averaged 2.3 key passes and 3.7 dribbles per game so far this season, while Lingard has managed just 0.7 and 1.3 respectively; the gulf in class is becoming glaringly obvious.

As the former Norwich City youngster was delivering a sensational pass for Jamie Vardy to score against Sheffield United on Saturday, Lingard was struggling to control the ball in United’s embarrassing home defeat to Palace.

A return of 18 assists in 170 appearances is just not good enough for an attacker turning out for United, who are in desperate need of added quality in the number ten position.

Earlier this month, a number of United fans took to social media to call on their club to sign Maddison as soon as possible, and it’s easy to sympathise with that point of view given the quality he has displayed since arriving at the King Power Stadium last summer.

The Mirror claims that the 20-time English champions would have to come up with an offer of £80m to bring Maddison to Old Trafford but, in the current market at least, he would be worth every penny.

واوضحت الصحيفة أن التدريبات تشير إلى أن كل لاعبو أتلتيكو مدريد سيكونون مُتاحين للديربي أمام ريال مدريد، عدا الأوروجوياني خوسيه ماريا خيمينيز، والذي لم يتعاف من الإصابة بعد.

According to The Sun, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer tore into his Manchester United players following their 1-1 draw with Southampton last weekend.

What did he say?

The Red Devils began their campaign on fire after thrashing rivals Chelsea 4-0 at Old Trafford. However, Solskjaer’s side have failed to pick up a win in their past three league games, drawing to both Wolves and Southampton, and losing to Crystal Palace.

Now, The Sun claim that following the end of the clash against the Saints, Solskjaer told the players their performance was a “joke” and that it was “embarrassing how they were failing to finish teams off”.

The report further adds the Norwegian accused the squad of playing for themselves, and has been left frustrated that their work on the training ground isn’t being implemented as he wants.

Some backbone

If Solskjaer did indeed lay into his players following their disappointing draw against Southampton, then he surely has to be applauded. The Red Devils have had serious questions asked of them about their poor attitude and lack of work ethic.

Until now, the big conception of Solskjaer has been of someone who likes to toe the party line, and is a little reluctant to engage in serious confrontation. But taking a stand in the dressing room after the Saints clash shows someone who is willing to get his hands dirty.

The Red Devils desperately need Solskjaer to take charge of the situation before it really threatens to spiral out of control. By questioning their commitment to the cause in the game before the international break, the players will now be forced to look in the mirror over the course of the two weeks to see if they really are pulling their own weight. It may have been a dramatic action, but the United boss was absolutely right to do so.

Recently, Ter Stegen did an interview for T-online in Germany and spoke about a variety of different topics, ranging from his national team to Manuel Neuer to Philippe Coutinho.

But it was his words concerning the Brazilian that really caught the attention of many Barcelona fans.

Ter Stegen said that he hopes Coutinho has fun in Bayern Munich, where he was loaned out this summer, and also mentioned how he is a great player but also a great guy overall. This statement made many fans call for the captain’s armband to be handed to the German.

Currently, there are four captains at the club: Lionel Messi, who is the first and designated one, and then Sergio Busquets as the vice-captain, and finally, Gerard Pique and Sergi Roberto are the third and fourth captains respectively.

But some fans seem to think it’s Ter Stegen who deserves this great honour.
