Despite losing Ange Postecoglou in the summer, who has got off to a blistering start at Tottenham Hotspur, Celtic are on course for a third consecutive title in the Scottish Premiership. Their transition during the return of Brendan Rodgers has been seamless and the former Leicester City boss hasn't skipped a beat since making the move back to the place where he had so much success. He won't want to rest on his laurels, though. Instead, Rodgers will only want to kick on further at Celtic Park.

As things stand, the Hoops are five points clear of Old Firm rivals Rangers and are reportedly eyeing a move to improve their side even more during the January transfer window.

Celtic's work off the pitch has been almost perfect in the last few years. They've added the likes of Kyogo Furuhashi and Matt O'Riley, who have both since gone onto play crucial roles at the club. And their attention now looks set to turn towards the January transfer window, which can often make or break a club's season. From Celtic's perspective, they shouldn't need too much when it comes to reinforcements, given their place at the top of the league, but they could still add stars for the future, including Nathaniel Adjei.

According to Sky Sports, Celtic are monitoring Adjei, who has been impressing for Swedish side Hammarby. The 21-year-old is reportedly not short on suitors, however, with clubs in Belgium and Italy, as well as Celtic's Old Firm rivals Rangers, reportedly eyeing a move for the central defender in January.

Defensively, the league leaders have been excellent so far this season, conceding just seven goals in 11 games. That said, with the potential that Adjei holds, it could be a deal worth pursuing. The Allsvenskan season comes to an end this month, giving Adjei plenty of time to assess his options before making what should prove to be a crucial career decision.

Nathaniel Adjei has "huge potential"

At just 21-years-old, Adjei seemingly has the world at his feet, evidenced by reports he will have the option of clubs from across Europe, including Celtic. Under Rodgers, he could learn a great deal from the likes of Cameron Carter-Vickers and Liam Scales too, who have ensured that the Hoops' defensive record has remained impressive this season.

It's no surprise that Adjei has earned plenty of praise at his current club, including from former Hammarby sporting director Jesper Jansson, who told the club's official website: "Adjei has had a very good development in HTFF. He is a centre-back with huge potential who looks very exciting for the future, and we have made the decision to buy him from his Ghanaian club."

The fact that Adjei is now being linked with a move to a number of top clubs just a year after his promotion to the Swedish side's first-team shows just how rapidly he is developing as a player. The only way seems to be up for the central defender, and Celtic may need to act quickly to secure his signature.

وأفادت صحيفة “اليوم” أن مصادر مقربة من أحمد حجازي كشفت موقفه من الرحيل عن الاتحاد والانضمام إلى صفوف نيوم “المتواجد في الدرجة الثانية (دوري يلو)” خلال الانتقالات الصيفية الجارية، بعد وجود تأكيد بشأن الاتفاق بين اللاعب والنادي.

Such inconsistency hasn't been aided by their breadth of long-term injury absentees, including Wesley Fofana, Romeo Lavia, Ben Chilwell and Christopher Nknunku, while Trevoh Chalobah and Carney Chukwuemeka have suffered setbacks on their roads to recovery from thigh and knee injures, respectively.

Mauricio Pochettino has been plagued with injuries across the pitch but it is in the striker position that has troubled him the most and his miseries were compounded by Armando Broja requiring treatment on his knee.

That leaves Nicolas Jackson as the only senior striker to choose from and considering he's only scored three goals in 11 appearances this term, perhaps a fixture against second-tier opposition provides Pochettino the flexibility to experiment with his team selection.

Despite scoring in the third-round victory over Brighton, Jackson has struggled to find his feet in a Chelsea shirt, providing the Blues with a measly goal conversion of 8%, seven big chances missed and only two goals scored from xG of 4.23 in the top flight, as per SofaScore.

Taking the above into account, Pochettino could use this fixture against a Championship side as an opportunity to take the 22-year-old out of the firing line and replace him with a talented youngster.

Chelsea's forward-thinking recruitment policy is tailored towards acquiring some of the world's best young prospects, raiding Brazilian club Santos in the summer for highly-rated 18-year-old duo Angelo Gabriel and Deivid Washington.

According to football talent scout Jacek Kulig, the teenager possesses all the ingredients to become a top striker, stating that he possesses the killer instinct in front of goal, is extremely difficult to knock off the ball due to his size as well as being comfortable at manipulating the ball in tight spaces, to name one of his many sensational attributes.

With that said, Pochettino could give Chelsea supporters a true flavour of the Brazilian's talents by starting him ahead of Jackson against Blackburn.

وقال مؤمن سليمان في تصريحات عبر برنامج “هاتريك”، على قناة “أون سبورت 2”: “الناس دائمًا تنظر للنتيجة النهائية، لكن أنا بدأت منذ عام 2004 في مدرسة الكرة للاعبين غير الموهوبين الذين يدفعون أموالًا لتعلم الكرة، أنا بدأت من تحت الصفر، وأشعر إن مجال الكرة أستطيع أن أتفوق فيه”.

وتابع: “الفترة الماضية هي نتاج 20 عامًا من العمل، أنا مدير فني منذ 12 سنة، لقد حصلت في الثلاث سنوات الأخيرة على بطولات وقبلها مع الزمالك، وأصبح إجمالي الألقاب 5، ولكن هذا ليس معناه أنني فشلت في السبع سنوات التي لم أحصد خلالها بطولات قبل تلك الفترة”.

وأضاف: “النجاح عقلية، ليس عدد الألقاب هو الفارق بين العقلية الفائزة والعقلية الخاسرة، ولكن الفرق عندما يسقط يقف سريعًا، هذه هي الفلسفة، أن يعلم المدرب أو اللاعب أن عدد مرات خسارته ستكون أعلى من عدد مرات نجاحه”.

وأردف: “في بدايتي حققت رقما مع فريق نجوم المستقبل وبعده الإنتاج الحربي في دوري القسم الثاني، سنة كاملة بدون هزيمة، وصعد الانتاج الحربي للدوري الممتاز، وأنا ظللت 3 أشهر بدون عمل، واضطررت إلى العمل كمدرب مساعد، وكانت تجربة مؤلمة جدًا، ثم عدت مديرًا فنيًا لفريق الأسيوطي، وحققت رقمًا جديدًا سنة أخرى بدون هزيمة”.

واستكمل: “كنت أدرب في القسم الثاني وأحقق أرقامًا، لكن الناس لا تعرف لأنه لا يوجد تركيز إعلامي، ثم انتقلت من الأسيوطي لـ الزمالك”.

واستمر: “على مستوى التنافسية، الدوري العراقي أقوى من الدوري المصري، رغم أن جودة اللاعبين المصريين أفضل، لكن المنافسة في العراق أقوى، هناك 20 فريقا، هناك 3 ديربيات فقط في بغداد، والمباريات صعبة جدًا”.

وأشار: “أول موسم كان هناك 10 ملاعب سيئة، لكن حاليًا الملاعب على مستوى عال جدًا، هناك أخطاء بالتأكيد، لكن هناك تطور، وتعاقدوا مع الليجا التي حسنت من المنظومة الكروية في العراق”.

وشدد: “المنتخب العراقي الحالي يمتلك لاعبين مميزين يستطيعون أن يتأهلوا لكأس العالم، لكن الأمر السلبي إن التشكيل دائمًا متغير، وعدد المحترفين أقل، هم متأخرين نوعًا ما لكن تقدمهم يأتي سريعًا جدًا”.

وأكد: “المنتخب الأولمبي العراقي يمتلك لاعبين مميزين ونجوم في الدوري، واللاعب العراقي مثل المصري، المعسكرات الطويلة تفرق معه، والبطولات المجمعة دائمًا تجد المنتخبين العراقي والمصري جيدين عكس مباريات التصفيات التي تكون في فترة أطول، هي العقلية ذاتها عند اللاعبين العراقيين والمصريين”.

وبسؤاله، هل تم استطلاع رأيك من نادي الزمالك بشأن التعاقد مع أيمن حسين؟ أجاب سليمان: “سُئلت بالفعل، لكن ليس من المجلس، بل من وكلاء لاعبين”.

واختتم: “أيمن حسين لاعب ممتاز جدًا، هو هداف الدوري العراقي، ومن أحسن اللاعبين الذين يجيدون اللعب بالرأس، وأيضًا داخل منطقة الجزاء يُنهي الهجمات بشكل ممتاز، والزمالك في حاجة للاعب مميز في هذا المركز، لكن للأسف اللاعب انتقل للدوري القطري”.

Embora nos bastidores exista quem diga que “não há oposição no Corinthians”, os grupos políticos que acompanham os candidatos brigam por cada apoio conquistado entre as grandes influências alvinegras e têm divergências entre si. Nesse cenário, apenas um dos três é considerado um homem da “situação”, que seria Duílio Monteiro Alves, apoiado por Andrés e seus aliados.

O grupo Renovação & Transparência, de Duílio e Andrés, é o que está no poder desde 2007, elegendo presidentes em sequência desde então: Andrés Sanchez (duas vezes), Mário Gobbi, Roberto de Andrade e Andrés Sanchez (de novo). Por essas e outras, Duílio pinta como favorito, mas bem menos do que seria em outros momentos. Mesmo que os naming rights e os acordos para o pagamento da dívida da Arena sejam considerados trunfos eleitorais.

Como dito acima, Gobbi, foi presidente entre 2012 e 2015, era um aliado político de Andrés e pertencia ao grupo Renovação & Transparência, que sofreu com algumas dissidências nos últimos tempos. O próprio Gobbi foi um desses e praticamente sumiu da vida política corintiana desde que seu mandato terminou. No entanto, por divergências sobre os rumos que o clube está tomando e pelo caos financeiro, ele decidiu voltar para tentar a presidência.

Dessa vez sob com a retaguarda do “Movimento Corinthians Grande”, liderado por Felipe Ezabella, que é candidato a 1º vice dessa chapa. Além da união dessas forças nos bastidores, nas últimas semanas o grupo ganhou um novo aliado de muita peso interno, que é Paulo Garcia, que foi um dos concorrentes à presidência no pleito de 2018 e ficou na segunda posição, atrás de Andrés.

Paulo indicou que seria candidato novamente, mas acabou desistindo e foi procurado por apoio tanto pela situação quanto pela oposição, uma vez que tem um grande número de apoiadores no clube, entre sócios, conselheiros e pessoas influentes, o que deve atrair alguns votos a mais para Gobbi, que tende a rivalizar com Duílio pela vitória na votação deste sábado.

Correndo por fora, mas não como azarão, está Augusto Melo, que tem ao seu lado um outro pré-candidato à presidência, Ricardo Maritan, que acabou desistindo da candidatura a fim de fortalecer a oposição. Melo tem um grande apelo no dia a dia da sede social do Timão, com um “corpo a corpo” mais influente até do que seus adversários. Pode surpreender nas urnas.

Vale lembrar que Augusto já esteve com a situação quando foi assessor das categorias de base durante o mandato de Roberto de Andrade. Pele menos oito das chamadas “chapinhas” concorrentes a uma das oito vagas no Conselho Deliberativo declaram apoio à candidatura de Melo. Um número significativo se comparado ao de Mário Gobbi, que recebeu apoio de dois dos 19 grupos e de Duílio, que tem cinco chapinhas ao seu lado. As outras quatro estão divididas.

Embora existam favoritos, o momento financeiro e esportivo do clube acabam deixando a eleição como uma incógnita. Apoios de última hora, fatos novos, acusações e afins sempre podem alterar o pleito na boca da urna. Certo mesmo, segundo Andrés Sanchez, é que essa será a última vez em que ele se envolverá com um cargo político no clube. Resta aguardar para que neste sábado, após as 17h, o corintiano conheça seu novo presidente.

He had been suffering from a prolonged illness.Wadekar, an aggressive left-hand batsman and an excellent catcher in the slips, played 37 Tests, scoring 2113 runs at an average of 31.07. His one century, a match-winning 143 at Wellington, came during India’s 1967-68 tour of New Zealand, where they won a series away from home for the very first time.It was a time when India, led by Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi, were growing into a genuine force in world cricket. And it was Wadekar who, with Pataudi sitting out the tour of the West Indies in 1970-71, took over the captaincy, thanks to the casting vote of Vijay Merchant, the chairman of selectors.Fuelled by the batting exploits of Dilip Sardesai and the debutant Sunil Gavaskar, India would go on to clinch a 1-0 victory over Sir Garfield Sobers’ side. Another series win, against England at home in 1972-73, burnished Wadekar’s standing as captain, but the end, when it came, was swift and cruel – a 3-0 series loss on the 1974 tour of England, which included the infamous 42 all out – still India’s lowest-ever Test total – at Lord’s. Sacked as captain after the tour, Wadekar announced his retirement.In later years, Wadekar served as India’s first ever official head coach, taking over in 1992 and overseeing a four-year period in which they were dominant on spinning tracks at home, memorably blanking England 3-0 in 1992-93. In December 2011, the BCCI conferred him with the CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award.

أكد مصدر مسئول داخل نادي الزمالك أن إدارة النادي تستعد لتقديم عرض نهائي لحارس مرمى الفريق محمد عواد، وذلك في محاولة لإقناعه بتجديد عقده الذي ينتهي بنهاية الموسم الحالي.

وأوضح المصدر في تصريحات خاصة لـ “بطولات”، أن العرض الجديد سيكون هو الأخير من جانب إدارة الزمالك، وفي حالة رفضه من قبل الحارس، فإن النادي سيغلق ملف تجديد عقده بشكل نهائي وسيبدأ في البحث عن بديل له.

يأتي هذا التطور بعد رفض عواد للعروض السابقة التي قدمها له الزمالك، حيث يطمح الحارس للحصول على شروط مالية أفضل.

وكان الزمالك قد أعلن في وقت سابق عن تجديد عقد الحارس الشاب محمد صبحي لمدة أربع سنوات، مما يزيد من الضغوط على إدارة النادي لحسم ملف تجديد عقد عواد في أقرب وقت ممكن.

ومن المتوقع أن تشهد الأيام المقبلة تطورات جديدة في هذا الملف، حيث يسعى الزمالك لحسم مصير حارسه الأساسي قبل بداية الموسم الجديد.
